Magics Win 23 Straight Regular Season Wins

The Magics are now 8-0 after defeating Talmadge this past Friday. They are now heading to Kent next week.

Barberton Fire Department holds 9/11 ceremony at the Central Fire Station

In remembrance to the First Responders that have lost their life in or because of 9/11, the BFD hosts an annual event. The school safety class was there as well during the event.


Norton Police will start enforcing speed limit on the I-76 construction stretch with manned LIDAR.

The 6-mile stretch of  I-76 between Barberton and Norton for the past couple of years has been a nightmare for people traveling in either direction. Construction is nothing new to Northeast Ohio but this project has caused more issues and complaints than most other projects. With the construction on Interstate 76, the City of Norton argues that speeding is the cause for the spike in accidents in this area. Along with speeding, some argue that ODOT making the lanes smaller is an even larger contributor to accidents and traffic jams.
